Makelangelo 5, firmware v8, Software v7.17.0,
64-bit Java Version 8 Update 191 (build 1.8.0_191-b12)

I am having similar issues. I was able to change the UID to 1 but I still can’t save/change settings.
Makelangelo 5, firmware v8, Software v7.17.0,
64-bit Java Version 8 Update 191 (build 1.8.0_191-b12)
Tried both Mac and PC same issue.
