RULES OF PLAYING IN SUDOKU
Sudoku is a logic puzzle in which you fill in the fields with numbers in the correct way. The playing field that we are going to complete consists of nine 3x3 blocks that make up a large 9x9 diagram.
A victory occurs when there are unique numbers from 1 to 9 in each column, row and block.
The beginnings of Sudoku
The puzzle was created by an American in the late 1970s. The prototype was the game "Number Place", which - it would seem - I better reflect the essence of the game. However, the name of sudoku, as we know it today, is an abbreviation of the Japanese term which means "numbers must be single". It was in Japan that such puzzles began to appear in newspapers in the early 1980s, and gained world fame at the beginning of the 21st century.
Sudoku comes in many variants, differing in difficulty and the way of the game. We fill out classic sudoku on a piece of paper, new technologies have also allowed us to exercise our mind on a computer or mobile devices, including in a multiplayer (multiplayer) or online version.
Types of sudoku
Classic online Sudoku - 9x9 diagram, partially completed with numbers.
Diagonal sudoku - the playing field is the same as in classical sudoku, an additional difficulty is that the numbers cannot be repeated also in the diagonals of the square.
Sudoku killer - the 9x9 diagram is not completed with numbers, however some fields are marked and the player knows the sum of the numbers in these fields.
Sudoku 12x12, 16x16 - the player has to enter more numbers into the diagram (not from 1 to 9, but for example from 1 to 16), the playing field consists of more squares.
Sudoku not consisting of squares - the playing field is not divided into squares, but into other shapes, inside which numbers cannot be repeated.
Sudoku for kids - a simplified version with pictures instead of numbers and a smaller number of fields to fill.
And many others…

How to play sudoku?
The solutions can be divided into unambiguous, when there can be only one correct solution for the initial diagram, and also ambiguous - when several numbers entered by the player mean the end of the game.
Whether there are one or many solutions to a given diagram depends on the number of digits entered by the creator in specific fields and given to the player.
So if your friend solved the sudoku data in a different way than you did, and in both cases the assumptions of the puzzle are met (the numbers do not repeat in rows, columns and squares) - both can be completed correctly.
You can play sudoku alone or with friends. Who will solve the puzzle faster? Set, Go!
The difficulty of sudoku depends not only on the version of the game, but also on how you complete it when you start playing.
There are several methods for solving this puzzle.
METHOD 1 is to focus on a small 3x3 square and find a place for a specific digit.
By eliminating the place where our number already exists in a given column and row, we find a place or places where we can enter it.
Example
In the marked small square we are looking for a place for the number 3. The red crosses mark the places where this number already appears in a given column or row - so we cannot use it in such place a second time by completing the small square.
The places where you can enter the number 3 are marked in green - in these cases it is not repeated.
So let's look at the square on the left, adjacent to ours - marked in red. In which of its rows do we put the number 3? In the bottom row it will be impossible - the number is already there. The middle row is already filled with "1", "5", and "7". The only way to put a "three" is in the top row.
Thus, the position of the number "3" in the square marked in red is the field in its center.
METHOD 2 - we are trying to fill a small square with numbers from 1 to 9.
The easiest way to start is with a square in which a lot of fields are already completed. Missing digits inside the square in red in the second example: "1", "5" and "6".
The row and column are marked in blue, where we are unable to enter the number "1".
Yellow shows where the "5" will no longer be.
In the last field, we have to enter the six.
The first square of this free sudoku has just been completed in its entirety.
The example showed a simple situation where there was no more than one possibility for "one" and "five".
METHOD 3 is based on frequent modifications of already entered numbers - erasing values already entered on the sheet or editing them and - if we play the digital version on a computer or telephone. Adherents of this method should decide to play sudoku online, where they will use it much more conveniently.
Using this method to solve a sudoku puzzle, let's enter the given number in the empty field, if there is no this number in the small square, row or column. Gradually, as we replenish the next squares of the 9x9 game grid,

Trivia
In 2005, mathematicians calculated the number of possible correct combinations of numbers on the board in the classic 9x9 sudoku - 6 670 903 752 021 072 936 960.
The first official world sudoku championship was held in 2006 - the winner was a player from the Czech Republic. The name of the game "sudoku" is not translated into Czech, but the expansion of the Japanese word ("numbers must be single".) In Czech is "číslice musí být jednoduché".
Sudoku is also a board game - on 9x9 boards with a printed pattern of numbers, we put plastic or wooden tiles at the start.
Sudoku is a game for people of all ages. Children enjoy playing simple versions of the game, while older people can train their minds this way.
