Hi,
here https://www.marginallyclever.com/blog/2014/04/making-sense-of-vending-machine-multidrop-bus-communications/ is described MDB sniffer example. I try to use it but got some problems. Can anyone answer some questions please
1. Is it suitable for sniffing only and needs working VMC to bill or coin acceptor? Can it work as a VMC?
2. Am I to connect To_Nanode_Rx to NearMDB Arduino Rx (D0) and To_Nanode_Tx to NearMDB Arduino Tx (D1)?Thanks
It cannot work as a VMC.
I think you have those backward. Arduino 1 talks to MDB with hardware serial (mandatory) and to Arduino 2 with softwareSerial. Arduino 2 talks ot PC with hardware serial. A2’s job is just to pass information so that you can see what is going on and start to debug things. The process is *really* slow to modify, which is why we haven’t made more progress.
IS there a way to softwareSerial to a PC?
