Servo motor is acting strangely

Hi,
I had so much fun building and getting started with my Makelangelo-based drawing robot! I was able to get it to work well for several drawings. However, the servo motor timing seems to be off in my most recent drawings.
The pen is sometimes up when it should be down and down when it should be up. There are even times where the pen should be going up and down yet there is no motion at all from the servo. And, even more bizarrely, when the drawing has completed and the pen holder has gone to it’s final position, the servo starts going up and down rapidly over and over.
Do you have any thoughts on what may be causing this issue?
Hardware:
– Arduino Mega 2560 + RAMPS 1.4
– Nema 17, 12V stepper motors + A4988 stepper motor drivers
– SG90 servo motor
– No LCD, SD card, limit switchSoftware:
– Makelangelo firmware version 9.2.0
– Makelangelo version 7.24.5
