Makelangelo 7.3.2- with dependency file?- Not fully launching in Win 7

My Makelangelo (2.5.2) is getting stuck before it gets to drawing pictures. Win 7
I downloaded 7.3.2 with the latest firmware. Newest Arduino and Java. Libraries moved as well.
The first symptom I’m not sure about is why the “start 32” only brings up the black box for a moment and then disappears.
When I launch using the jar file with dependencies, it looks like it is going to work. It asks for a language I connect the board. I try to adjust some settings. Then it stops sending signals. I’ve been able to adjust the pen up/down, or make a new “home” moving both stepper motors, but not both. The code continues to be sent, but nothing is moving. Where should the dependency file go so it launches correctly?
