Arduino Uno firmware v 7.11.0

Hello,
I’ve built a machine similar to v 2.5.2 (arduino uno) and I am running firmware version 7.11 and experiencing the problem where horizontal and vertical lines work fine, but anything else drifts off similar to post #9074 by Valentin. Was that ever resolved somewhere? I saw a link to a dev branch but that seems to be gone now. Is there a old fixed version of this hanging around somewhere?

For the benefit of other users, it turns out that my power supply was not sending consistent voltage, causing the motors to not have enough power to lift the 100gm weight. I think the reason it worked horizontally or vertically was because both steppers were doing the work, but at a 45 degree angle, only a single motor is doing the work. Replacing the power supply solved the issue.
