Hello from France.
I made a DIY version of the makelangelo optimized for glass drawing, fast to set up and with variable size.
My problem is that i really want to draw much much SLOWER in order to make big size drawings slowly appear during 3 to 4 hours. I also want to get better drawings with less speed.
I am using adafruit motorshield version 1, nema14 motors, GT2 pulleys and belt, and the last release i found on github.
Changing the #define MAX_FEEDRATE value in the firmware_ams.ino does change the result. MAX_RPM variable is mentionned but i can’t find it in the sketch or in AFMotorDrawbot.h or .cpp.
Changing the speed in mm/s in the makelangelo.jar interface doesn’t change the result in real life.Even with a value of 2 instead of 2000.
Changing the max feedrate in the settings/adjust current tool in the interface doesn’t change anything, at least when i am using the great “draw/convert image” feature.
Could anybody help me please ?
I am going to look closely in the arduino libraries included in the main sketch but for now, i am looking for your advices.
Best regards,
@hugobiwan
The mm/s in the bottom right of the screen is only used with the buttons in that corner. To slow down the tool use
Settings > Adjust active tool > max feed rate
