Hello Dan, I tried running the 7.8.0 Make software. When I run the .jar I get ‘Java Virtual Machine Launcher- A java Exception has occured’ error. I don’t dare start messing with Java updates. I have been running the Master branch for Make 3.0 for some time with no problems. It was the only version I could get to run.
Any suggestions?

2016-09-29 at 07:25 #11146AnonymousInactiveI am now able to run Make 7.8.0. I make sure the machine size and paper size settings are correct. I have the new home position set. When I hit start the pen holder goes straight up into the LCD/Control board. I have to disconnect power quickly to prevent any damage.
I noticed in the drop down panel next to ‘settings’ there are many choices. Machine #- 1,107,1075,18059,18060
Which Machine # should I be using? I have a Make 3 machine.2016-09-29 at 13:21 #11150AnonymousInactiveI am still not able to get 7.8.0 running right. I reset preferences. Everytime I get all the setting correct and hit start the pen holder goes straight up and doesn’t stop. Or it goes to the left and doesn’t stop. I have to disconnect power to stop it. Any ideas what this could be?

This is a screenshot before I hit ‘start’…. probably wont help. When I try the ‘border’ tab the pen holder travels to the left and doesn’t stop. For testing purposes I have ‘home’ set kind of in the middle of the board. If I set it in the new home position up at the top it is too close to my LCD board, which leaves me little time to disconnect before gondola hits it. I am assuming that with the new home position at the top of the board, the drawing will begin with the gondola going downward first. Like I said, when I hit ‘start’ my gondola goes straight up or to the left and doesn’t stop.2016-09-29 at 14:03 #111532016-09-29 at 14:04 #11154AnonymousInactivefor fucks sake

Fortunately for me I wrote down the version of Java that ran the master. I have no problems with this version other than I have to be around to lift the gondola at the end of the drawing to avoid the signature. With the Master branch I like how, say, a square image translates without having to resize….it appeared to me in the 7.8.0 version that I would lose detail. I think I am happy again. What can I say? I can’t live without my machine.
