Delta Robot Github Update now supports GCODE
v6 of the code now supports G00, G01, G02, G03, and M114. That’s more than the two year old version ever understood. Honestly? I looked at the old code and got a little sick in my mouth. I was never able to get the G02 and G03 working. Problem solved! It also does some basic sanity checking so you can’t drive it to an impossible place or set the speed to zero.
Once you’ve built this machine, read the code, and learned how it works you’ll have a deep understanding of one of the most commonly used industrial robots, along a wicked robot and a smart answer to the question “what good are parallelograms, anyways?”
I just noticed this is post 301. Woo! 500 in three months? Wake me when you have a challenge.
Makelangelo #103
Paul sends word that he just got his Makelangelo (#103) working at the school where he teaches.
He says the pen is a little sloppy and he’s got ideas to fine tune it. Way to go Paul! Thanks for sharing. Have you got a Makelangelo? Contact us and share, we’d love to show the world.
We’ve got lots of Makelangelo Drawbots in stock at – and I’m quoting here – “a fantastic price point”. Once we perfect the Uber pen holder expect it to go up as we transition to version 2.0. Get yours now if you’d like to trade cost for convenience.
Polargraph that uses Bee logic
Emily bring word of a polargraph robot that filled every side of a room in 2 weeks. The tsp solutions are derived directly from Sheffield University research on how a bees flies from flower to flower. Find out more at MadeByJones or check out this picture gallery. Jones said “Loving the polargraph kits – our system is significantly larger but significantly more glitch ridden!”
New Products for January 2013
We’ve got another shipment of UNOs, TV-B-Gones, and Motor shields.
I’ve also finally got some NeoPixel Weatherproof Digital RGB LED strips. I wrote code a year ago to make a digital ticker from one of these and now I can finally make it go!
