Today I have more art, some bad news, and some good news.

Delayed orders

We don’t do partial shipments or split shipments. As such the Hong Kong delays from last week are still affecting us. This is the longest delay we’ve had in over a year. I love announcing on our Facebook page that we’ve hit a new all-time record for fastest order fulfillment (now down to about 2 minutes). So you can imagine my frustration when orders are lining up in open boxes that spread down the packing table, around the corner, and onto a warehouse shelf cleared just for this purpose.

According to FEDex it’s nearly here. I want to apologize to my post man in advance. You rock, dude. Also, you might want to back the postal truck up to the door. What’s the load rating on those tires?

Rapid response

Earlier this week I installed a live chat feature on the website. Last night an anonymous user tried it for the first time to request a “search blog” feature. I’m sorry I missed you, and it has been added! The search field in the top right of the page will search the blog when you are on the blog page.

When you have something to say, we’re listening.

Sharing

Forum member Jenwix has been experimenting with modifying ScribblerDemo to generate gcode for Makelangelo to consume. He sends along this 600x600mm drawing he generated. My settings were wrong when I loaded it, thus creating the off-center look.

He says “I looked at the gcode Makelangelo creates, did some googling, and hacked up a “header” and “trailer” to sandwich the pen movements.” When you put it like that, it sound easy! Nice work, Jenwix.

Post your creations in our forums and we’ll share it.
